StepStone acquires technology company Jobanova
Monday 07. March 2011 - StepStone, one of the leading German online job portals and a subsidiary of Axel Springer AG, has acquired 100 percent of the equity in the technology supplier Jobanova GmbH, thereby bolstering its competence in the area of search functions.
Jobanovas semantic search technology increases the relevance of search results substantially and can therefore bring job-seekers and employers together more efficiently. This technology, which will be used by StepStone under the name StepMATCH effective immediately, was developed in cooperation with the Center for Information and Language Processing at LMU University in Munich under the direction of Professor Franz Guenthner.
