First French Pavilion to showcase French know-how at Gulf Print & Pack 2011

Thursday 03. March 2011 - Gulf Print & Pack 2011 will be held from the 14th to the 17th of March, at the Airport Expo in Dubai. In the framework of Gulf Print & Pack 2011, the first French Pavilion will be organized and will welcome six French companies.

Gulf Print & Pack, the dedicated tradeshow for printing and packaging market in the Middle East and North Africa, will welcome the first French Pavilion.
Organized for the first time by UBIFRANCE, the French Pavilion will include six French companies specializing in packaging machines, printing machines or in machines to produce for instance composite cans, paper cores. The companies will also introduce their technology such as blanket washers, web cleaners, engravers, labels printing and converting.
Worldwide, France is the fifth largest exporter of packaging machinery and the third importer. Its main customers are Italy, the United States, Germany and Spain. Its main suppliers are Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
Despite a relatively low weight (1.6% market share in 2009 – 14th provider with a value of nine million USD), exports of packaging machinery to the UAE increased sharply between 2008 and 2009: +75%.Exports of French packaging machinery in the Middle East area weight 8.4 Million USD in Egypt, 6.3 Million USD in Saudi Arabia, 2.1 Million USD in Kuwait and 0.5 Million USD in Lebanon.
