OKI Adds a Flair of Colour to its Dot Matrix Printer Range
Wednesday 02. March 2011 - The New ML5700eco Series delivers Red Hot performance with Bright Green credentials to strengthen OKI Printing Solutions position in dot matrix market
Blisteringly fast, printing up to 700cps (characters per second) the ML5700eco Series is a range of reliable, high performance desktop dot matrix printers all with truly versatile paper handling and low energy consumption. A first for OKI, the ML5700eco Series incorporates a convenient front paper feed to complement rear, bottom and top paper inputs for maximum flexibility. Included as standard is a multi-position tractor feed unit to make feeding continuous paper, single or multi-part, easy and straightforward.
Perfect for a wide range of high volume printing applications the ML5700eco Series offers 9 and 24 pin versions in both wide carriage (136 column) and narrow carriage (80 column) models. They incorporate the latest in power management to deliver an impressively low power usage of just 1.5 Watts in “Sleep mode”. And with best-in-class reliability, a robust 400 million character print head and long life ribbons the ML5700eco Series will keep productivity levels high and environmental impact low. The ML5700eco range consists of four models:
The ML5720eco (80 column) and ML5721eco (136 column) are equipped with 9 pin print heads to deliver the optimum in speed/print quality performance. With a top print speed of 700cps (characters per second) they will power through transactions and listings, printing on single or multi-part forms up to 7-parts.
The ML5790eco and ML5791eco (80/136 columns respectfully) are equipped with 24 pin print heads to deliver the best possible print quality for crisper text and sharper images. The top print speed for these products is 576cps allowing them to quickly deliver high quality documents on single or multi-part forms up to 6-parts.
The NEW ML5700eco Series is designed to complement the ML5500 Series in the OKI dot matrix printer range and is offered at an RRP of £549 for the ML5720/ML5790 and £649 for the ML5721/ML5791. At the same time, the ML5500 Series printers will be reduced to £499 (RRP) for the ML5520/ML5590 and £599 (RRP) for the ML5521/ML5591 to deliver even better value for applications where the enhanced performance and functionality of the ML5700eco Series are not required.
