Meet New Market Requirements for Package Printing Faster with the VSOP

Monday 28. February 2011 - Muller Martini takes part at Gulf Print & Pack in Dubai (March 14-17)

Market requirements are changing all the time, particularly when it comes to flexible packaging and labels, so a rapid, flexible response is required from manufacturers. With the international Gulf Print & Pack exhibition in Dubai as its backdrop, Muller Martini will demonstrate how printing houses can adapt to these developments with its VSOP printing press.
A high degree of flexibility is required when market conditions change and develop quickly. Muller Martini will be showcasing a solution for this trend with its VSOP printing press at the Gulf Print & Pack exhibition in Dubai. The VSOP (Variable Sleeve Offset Printing) uses sleeve technology, meaning print sizes can be changed quickly and easily, without the need to change all of the printing inserts – two light cartridges (known as sleeves) are the only parts that need to be exchanged in order to change the print size. This is a real advantage, and particularly cost-effective, for print lengths that change frequently.
What’s more, the VSOP printing press offers the same advantages as offset printing, such as low printing plate costs: By using standard offset printing plates, considerable savings can be made in comparison to other printing processes, such as flexo and gravure printing.
Further advantages for flexible order management include quick and easy printing plate manufacture and short machine setup times. A quick changeover system allows the machine to be prepared offline and when in operation, and the machine settings can be stored in an integrated database so that jobs can be printed again at any time.
At stand E330 in the East hall, printing press specialists from Muller Martini will be only too happy to tell visitors about the latest market developments and to discuss flexible production solutions for the pressroom.
