New Virtual Document Tray Gadget to DocuWorks, the Document Handling Software, to Streamline Workflow

With new enhanced functions, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will launch DocuWorks 7.2, a document handling software that centrally manages and utilizes electronic documents and scanned paper-based documents on computers.
New Features
1.Document Tray Option 1.0
In addition to the DocuWork’s basic functions that provide electronic “paper”, “desk” and “stationery” on a computer, a new gadget, Document Tray Option 1.0, is introduced to expand its users from individuals to workgroups.
This option software provides a virtual Document Tray on a computer to facilitate not only document sharing but also the delivery of documents to other users. For example, in the handling of sales orders, the software automatically stores a purchase order sheet received by fax, in the Document Tray on a computer of the staff who accepts orders. When the staff stores another document for the next process in the Document Tray of the person who places orders, the software delivers the document to the Document Tray of his/her computer. A pop-up message appears on a computer when its Document Tray receives a new document, also with visual presentation of documents piling up in the Tray. The smooth delivery of electronic documents and visualization of document volume can accelerate the overall workflow, thereby contributing to the improvement of quality in individual tasks.
2.New edition of DocuWorks for the education market
DocuWorks 7.2 is also available in a pricing structure suited for the education market, so that people in the market can enjoy the user-friendly document handling.
Students can integrate data compiled in Word, Excel and other applications into a DocuWorks document when writing a report or sorting reference materials. With a scanner, teachers can digitize exam papers into a DocuWorks document to centrally manage it with teaching materials and other electronic documents. Thus, DocuWorks offers a wide variety of applications not only in businesses but also for improving study or work efficiency in the education market.
For iPhone and iPad users, Fuji Xerox offers DocuWorks viewer application for free of charge. It allows users to make use of information assets accumulated in the form of DocuWorks, in new business scenes and communications.
