acadami to Host Transaction Document School at 2011 Xplor Document Conference and Vendor Forum

Tuesday 01. February 2011 - Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced the addition of a five-day professional education program by acadami to the 2011 Xplor Document Conference and Vendor Forum, prior to and concurrent to the event.

Hosted by acadami, the program is titled “Transaction Document School.” The course will be held at the Tradewinds Island Grand Hotel and Conference Center in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
Xplor International will host its first track dedicated to the Electronic Document Associate (EDA) qualification level: five days of peer-reviewed, vendor-neutral, CEU courses that teach the basics of transaction document production workflow and development lifecycle. The Transaction Document School would begin on Monday morning (April 4), and continue until Friday afternoon (April 8).
The school is an Xplor Continuing Education-certified training program offering CEUs to passing students. The courses include 35 hours of lectures, 4 hours of workshops, and 4 ½ hours of examination over the 5-day school. In addition, attendees would be able to attend the Xplor exhibit space as well as participate in the Xplor networking events..
The material and examination have been certified by Xplor International for 5 Continuing Education Units and the EDP Commission will recognize 50 Education Credits toward Electronic Document Associate (EDA) and Electronic Document Professional (EDP) industry certification.
“We are delighted to have the acadami course as part of our curriculum. It is absolutely a must attend for anyone who wants to get a sound foundation of knowledge of our industry” said Skip Henk, EDP, President and CEO of Xplor International.
“We at acadami are delighted to be able to bring our Transaction Document School to the Xplor annual event this year,” says William J. ‘Bill’ McCalpin m-edp and acadami’s Registrar. “The School synchronizes very well with Xplor’s professional certification program, and any School attendee who meets the requirements and passes the three exams during our School is immediately eligible for the Electronic Document Associate (EDA) designation. There are nearly 50 EDAs certified by Xplor today, and nearly all of them received the designation as the result of attending acadami courses.”
