Corelio group chooses Méthode for bilingual multiple-media news operations
Monday 20. December 2010 - Belgium's largest publishing group has adopted EidosMedia's editorial platform for the print and web editions of its Flemish and French-language dailies.
Headquartered just outside Brussels, the Corelio media group is Belgium’s largest publisher with a portfolio that includes Der Standaard, the country’s leading Flemish-language quality daily. As well as three other Flemish dailies, Corelio also publishes Les editions de l’Avenir, a regional daily read by 40% of Belgium’s French-speaking population.
The Corelio group has decided to move the news operations of these titles, as well as their associated online editions, to a common platform based onEidosMedia’s editorial platform Méthode.
“Méthode will enable Corelio’s cross-media operations for our print, web and mobile products, installing workflows for each of our titles, and allowing them to share content,” said Renaat Truijen, Corelio Group CIO. “This will bring significant benefits in terms of flexibility and productivity. Méthode’s multi-edition functions will be particularly valuable in the production of our French-language daily L’Avenir, which is published in nine different regional editions containing a lot of local content.”
The Méthode solution, which replaces two existing editorial systems, will serve about 360 staff in the group’s three newsroooms.
“The Corelio group has a dynamic portfolio that has successfully evolved to meet the needs of Belgium’s complex social and linguistic communities,” said Gérard Perrier, EidosMedia group VP Business Development. “The move to Méthode will give them the flexibility to continue this process in the years to come”.
