Kramp relying on product data management from Heiler Software as part of its e-commerce strategy
Friday 17. December 2010 - The Dutch company Kamp Groep has been working with the Product Information Management (PIM) system from Heiler Software since the middle of this year.
With this decision Europe’s largest dealer in agricultural machinery replacement parts and accessories is relying on Heiler Software for the management of all its product data for all distribution channels and languages from a central data source.
“The professional and easy handling of mass data, especially with regards to the integration of supplier data in the supplier portal, played a crucial role in making the decision to use Heiler Software,” says Product Content Manager Ronald Renskers. This particular aspect is an important prerequisite for Kramp Groep’s strategy. Kramp is relying on a long-tail strategy in this respect. The assortment of products available for delivery, and with that the product range available on-line, are to be further expanded.
Kramp wants to bring its suppliers, distributors and end customers even closer together in e-commerce. “We want to make things simple for our customers, partners and suppliers,” says CEO Eddie Perdok. “We have found a partner in Heiler Software who is on the same wavelength as we are. The PIM solution is the basis for our multi-channel commerce strategy,” he continues.
IBM’s WebSphere Commerce is serving as Kramp’s e-commerce system. The web shops, which are currently available in 10 different languages, are fed from a central source, the Heiler Product Manager. Additional expansions are planned. Since the 5.2 version was launched, the Heiler Product Manager has had a standard interface for IBM’s e-commerce solution.
