GALA Continues International Expansion with Launch in Slovakia

Tuesday 14. December 2010 - The international premium people-lifestyle magazine GALA continues its international expansion this year by launching a Slovak edition ˆ the ninth country edition now on newsstands.

GALA is published under license in Slovakia by Gruner + Jahr International Brands and Licenses together with the local publisher Media Publishing s.r.o. Having already published the Slovak editions of “Playboy” and “OK!” under license, Media Publishing s.r.o. has excellent experience in marketing international premium magazines, making it an ideal partner for GALA.
Following a successful market trial in late October, GALA Slovakia will appear monthly starting next Wednesday, December 15, 2010, with a cover price of •2.10
and a print run of 20,000 copies at launch. Its positioning, magazine concept and content are closely modeled on the German edition.
GALA is an international premium Gruner + Jahr people-lifestyle magazine, which in addition to Germany, Austria and Switzerland has separate country editions in France, Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait ˆ and now Slovakia.
