activePDF Announces the Release of activePDF Toolkit 2011
Tuesday 14. December 2010 - activePDF, Inc. a leading provider of server-based PDF creation, conversion and development tools for Microsoft Windows, today announced the release of activePDF Toolkit 2011, the latest version of its popular component which enables dynamic generation and manipulation of PDF files.
In addition to offering full native support for 64-bit applications, this new version introduces a fully managed .NET API and support for AES-128 encryption. Additional feature enhancements, such as support for transparent text and images and the inclusion of over 80 additional barcode symbologies, along with a variety of performance improvements are also included.
Licensed per server, with no per user, per document, or per CPU fees, activePDF Toolkit 2011 allows developers to quickly and easily create and manipulate PDF files from a wide range of Windows-based business applications. Using Toolkit’s robust API, the automation of virtually any PDF manipulation task becomes possible — users can form-fill, digitally sign, append, stamp, stitch, merge, add watermarks and bookmarks, secure PDF and much more.
“We’re thrilled to announce this much-anticipated launch of activePDF Toolkit, the first of several new and exciting product releases slated for 2011,” stated activePDF CEO, Tim Sullivan. “With this release, we’ve really focused our efforts on attaining the highest level of performance possible, while offering our clients additional flexibility in meeting two areas where standards-based compliance are of critical importance: encryption and barcodes. We’ve invested quite a bit of engineering effort into this release, and we’re extremely pleased with the feedback we’ve received thus far.”
