Tuesday 14. December 2010 - Subject to existing contracts, specialty chemicals group LANXESS is increasing its prices worldwide for iron oxide pigments by at least Euro 110 (or local currency equivalent) per metric ton, with immediate effect.

The Inorganic Pigments business cites the continuation of elevated raw material, energy and freight costs as the primary reasons for the increase.
Iron oxides produced by LANXESS are marketed under the trade names Bayferrox, Bayoxide and Colortherm and are the preferred choice in a wide variety of applications in the construction, coatings and colorants, plastics, paper and toner industries.
As one of the world’s leading iron oxide producers, LANXESS satisfies the growing demands of the global market by offering a broad and innovative product portfolio manufactured according to strict sustainability guidelines and supported by high levels of technical expertise.
