Hönle achieves a record result of 0.89 per share
Tuesday 14. December 2010 - According to preliminary figures, Hönle Group achieved revenue of 54.6 million (PY: 45.0 m.) in financial year 2009/2010. The operating result (EBIT) jumped from -3.9 million in the previous year to 5.5 million in the financial year ended, and the Group result rose from -4.1 million to 4.8 million. The earnings per share amounted to 0.89 (PY: -0.80).
In the fourth quarter also, Hönle profits from the economic upswing that has spread to all business segments. Revenue rose from 11.4 million in the previous year’s quarter to 15.6 million in the fourth quarter of the reporting year, and the operating result increased from -1.9 million to 2.6 million in the same period.
The Hönle Group’s liquid assets grew in financial year 2009/2010 and came to 6.7 million as at 30 September 2010. The equity capital ratio stood at 69.2 %.
The Dr. Hönle AG Management Board and Supervisory Board intend to have their shareholders participate in the corporate success and will suggest to the General Meeting that a dividend of at least 0.25 per share be paid out.
Outlook:
As recently announced, Dr. Hönle AG acquired a 51 % stake in UV-Technik Speziallampen GmbH, Wulmbach, Ilmenau. UV-Technik Speziallampen GmbH has many years of know-how in the segment of UV lamps that are used in the water sterilisation market, in particular. Hönle opens up to a sustainable growth in the life science market.
The Management Board aims at increasing consolidated revenues to 65 million and the operating result (EBIT) to 7.5 million in financial year 2010/211, including the effects of the most recent acquisition.
The sustained economic upswing, which has meanwhile spread to all of Hönle Group’s sales markets, will impact positively on business development. Management assumes that the upturn in the adhesives segment will continue. In the growth market for UV-based digital printing, Hönle expects positive development in the orders position and a revenue increase in financial year 2010/2011. In special equipment engineering which encompasses the fields of sterilisation and sunlight simulation, Management likewise expects positive revenue development. Moreover, Hönle will benefit from the expected pick-up in offset printing and will sell more UV systems than in the past financial year.
