Guy Dehond wins CIOnet award
Monday 13. December 2010 - Guy Dehond, CEO of Inventive Designers, received the Innovation Award from CIOnet, Europe's largest network for CIOs and IT directors. Members of the Advisory Board of CIOnet in Belgium are all CIO's of large companies. Chairman is Carl Tilkin-Franssens, CIO of the KBC bank. The previous edition of the award, went to Dries Buytaert, the original creator and project lead of Drupal(CMS).
Managing Director of CIOnet, Hendrik Deckers, explains why the award went to our CEO Guy Dehond: “While Belgium produces a lot of creative minds in technology, unfortunately not all of them are capable of turning creativity into innovation. Guy is a serial entrepreneur ‘pur sang’ who proves that the combination of creativity and gut feeling are important assets to make his company, Inventive Designers, excel internationally.”
Inventive Designers builds software solutions for automating document creation, communication and publishing, named Scriptura. It is a solution that enables companies to deliver personalized customer communications through various channels such as the Internet, print, e-mail, fax, etc.
Guy Dehond explains: “If there is one advice I can give, it is to always listen to your customers needs. Customer intimacy is wat prevents you from building technology nobody is waiting for.”
Inventive Designers has a long history with innovative technology and has won several awards. Starting more than a decade back with document solutions on AS/400 (system i) like DTM and Evergreen. In 2008 Inventive Designers also received the ICT innovation award specificaly for Scriptura, a cross platform document solution evolving to a complete ADF (Automated Document Factory) business platform, allowing organizations to optimize all document communication processes.
Recently, a new innovative product has been launched, IntelliStamp, which is a hybrid digital signature that guarantees authenticity of documents, even when they are printed. All solutions are making use of open standards, are platform independent and work in any IT environment.
Today CIOnet has over 450 members in Belgium and is also active in The Netherlands, Spain, the U.K., Italy & France.
