ViperPrint predicts increased profitability with digital print
Thursday 09. December 2010 - Polish printer adds new capabilities with HP Indigo press 5500
HP today announced that ViperPrint Sp. Z o.o., of Czêstochowa, Poland, predicts a double-digit rise in profitability resulting from its ability to offer personalised and variable data printed products with its new HP Indigo press 5500.
Full colour variable data printing (VDP) is not yet widely available on the Polish market, so ViperPrint is hoping to achieve a 20 percent increase in profits. The HP Indigo digital press’s wide colour gamut as well as its VDP capabilities, are enabling the company to broadening its product and service offering, attracting new customers and carrying out new work for existing ones.
“Digital printing is the future of printing and offers new options which have not been available before,” said Maciej Wydrychiewicz, chairman, ViperPrint. “During the three months that we have been working with this new printer, we realised that we were able to attract more customers with VDP, personalised content and new substrate options as a result of using HP ElectroInk White.”
The special HP ElectroInk White enables HP Indigo press users to print full-colour images on transparent, coloured or other substrates commonly used in point-of-purchase (POP) signage, greetings cards, direct mail and other applications.
“We have found that HP has a very innovative approach to technology and another advantage with the HP Indigo 5500 is its substrate versatility. We are now able to develop our digital offering further and to print on special materials like PVC or foil, differentiating our product offering from the competition and helping us to attract new customers,” said Maciej Wydrychiewicz.
The company was founded in 2002 and has 50 employees with a customer base including printing and advertising agencies. It provides a range of applications including business cards, plastic cards, flyers and postcards using digital and offset technologies and in-house finishing capabilities. The company also provides ecommerce services via its websites ViperPrint.pl and ViperPrint.de, complementing the strength of its HP Indigo press 5500.
Future plans include further increasing its competitive edge and consolidating its position in the industry to compete in the Polish and German markets.
