FIRST S100 NEWMAN LABELLER GETS A LOCAL HOME!
Friday 03. December 2010 - Following its recent launch, the very first S100 fully automatic self-adhesive labelling system from Newman Labelling Systems has been purchased by newcomer Percuro Medica for its London premises.
Percuro Medica is a new pharmaceutical filling and packaging company established by a team of highly experienced industry professionals. The owners had worked with Newman Labelling machines previously and were confident the S100 would provide the quality Newman has become renowned for along with good customer service.
The S100 has been installed as part of Percuro Medica’s new production line based in Park Royal, London and is being used to automatically label cylindrical glass and plastic syrup bottles, although the machine can also be used on flat and square containers from 10mm to 150mm, with minimal change parts. The line has been designed for maximum efficiency with an infeed of bottles direct from a filling machine; bottles are then collected on a turntable at the end of the process.
For Percuro Medica, the S100 has been beneficial in its ability to automate the labelling and the product / label counting facility designed as an inherent part of the machine has helped the reconciliation process and speeded up the overall manufacturing process. This is enhanced by the S100’s speed of operation, labelling up to 100 containers per minute.
Based largely around the higher capacity NV2 system platform, the S100 features all the quality engineering you would expect from a Newman Labelling machine, but at an unexpectedly low price. That’s because the S100 features the same cGMP design and robust stainless steel construction as with all Newman machines, whilst features are kept to a minimum to meet the demand for low cost, quality machines both in the pharmaceutical market in which Newman is renown, as well as health and nutraceutical markets.
