PaperCo and Heidelberg support PrintIT! initiatives

Friday 03. December 2010 - PaperCo, the nationwide paper merchant with a local focus, and equipment supplier Heidelberg have undertaken initiatives to support PrintIT!

PaperCo supplied “born again” 9lives Offset SRA1 120gsm stock for the PrintIT! England Student Work Book. The stock was delivered by PaperCo’s regional operation Mason’s Paper to Heidelberg’s Tamworth showroom where some 26,000 copies of the 24pp book were printed.
Showroom manager Paul Chamberlain says: “The plates were prepared on a Suprasetter A 75 CtP device, it was printed on an 18,000sph Speedmaster XL 75 five-colour with coater and extended delivery, cut on a Polar 115X, folded on a Stahlfolder KH82 combination model and stitched on a Stitchmaster ST450. It was a straightforward job produced very fast.”
Last year George Clarke, managing director of Heidelberg, was chairman of PrintIT! and he continues to regard it as an important focus for the promotion of printing in schools.
• This year PaperCo also this year supplied the paper for PrintIT! Scotland resources. The paper used was SRA1 120gsm 9lives Offset sheets supplied by Donald Murray Paper. About 50 schools were involved in the design competition this year.
