French News Weekly Le Point Creates its iPad Editions with WoodWing Solution

Tuesday 30. November 2010 - Le Point, one of the leading weekly news magazines in France, decided for WoodWing´s tablet publishing solution and thus can leverage existing resources to create its weekly iPad editions.

WoodWing, a leading international supplier of cross-media publishing solutions and an innovative leader in the tablet publishing market, today announced that the renowned French weekly news magazine Le Point created its iPad App with WoodWing’s Digital Magazine Tools.

The WoodWing solution is seamlessly integrated into the existing publishing environment at Le Point. The content is imported from Le Point’s content management system for the print edition into WoodWing´s tablet publishing system and enriched with multimedia elements such as videos, images for the slideshows, and interactive graphics.

Le Point decided to create and publish the weekly iPad editions with their existing team, which has been trained to develop distinctive tablet publishing skills. “Handling the WoodWing solution is very comfortable”, said Jean-François Hattier, Deputy General Manager at Le Point. “Designers not knowing the WoodWing Digital Magazine Tools were able to use it with ease promptly. The solution is scalable and has been implemented quickly.”

Alliga Media (www.alliga-media.fr), WoodWing Gold Authorized Solution Partner in France, led the team at Le Point through the process of implementing WoodWing´s tablet publishing solution and creating the iPad App. “We are proud that such a renowned publication such as Le Point asked us to support them to realize their iPad App, and we are delighted with the impressive result”, said Richard Loubéjac, General Manager at Alliga Media.
