BANGLADESH PRINTER TO BASE CHECKBOOK-PRODUCTION SYSTEM ON DELPHAX CONTINUOUS-FEED PRINTER AND SOFTWARE
Tuesday 30. November 2010 - Delphax Technologies Inc., a global provider of high-speed digital printing systems, announced that Elite Printing & Packaging Ltd. has chosen Delphax's PS4060 continuous-feed printer and IDS front-end software to produce MICR encoded checkbooks for local banks in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The PS4060 is a free-standing fan-fold printer meeting the highest standards for non-impact MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) encoding. Elite Printing & Packaging selected the equipment for its flexibility, reliability and cost-effectiveness in variable-content applications, which will also include share certificates, warrants and dividend payment check’s. The PS4060 is designed for minimal maintenance and operator intervention, providing a profitable short or medium volume printing solution for variable data and MICR in one pass.
A new Delphax customer, Elite Printing & Packaging handles a wide variety of print, packaging and promotional materials. Its print products range from annual reports catalogs and books to hologram stickers, lottery tickets and pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging. It is Delphax’s second customer in Bangladesh. In 2009, Delphax sold an Imaggia check-printing line to the Security Printing Corporation (Bangladesh) Ltd., in the first Asian placement for the high-speed sheet-fed print system.
