Adobe Announces Plans for New Data Centre to Serve Omniture Business Unit Customers in Europe
Friday 26. November 2010 - Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced it is opening a data centre just outside of London, England to serve its Omniture Business Unit customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The new data centre will provide faster data processing, improved application usability and performance and expanded localized data storage capabilities.
“This new data centre will serve our growing list of international customers and is aligned with our commitment to be compliant with changing privacy and data collection standards,” said Brad Rencher, vice president and general manager, Omniture Business Unit, Adobe. “Data collected on behalf of our European customers will be processed in Europe.”
The new data centre is currently being built out in a colocation facility and will house thousands of services and network devices and will be available to new Omniture Business Unit customers in the first quarter of 2011. Existing customers will begin custom migrations to the new data centre in the second half of 2011.
