November 2010 - Printers operating in the packaging, narrow label, commercial print, security print and card printing markets are increasing their output and profits using the Atlantic Zeiser GAMMA Series. The highly advance, full-color systems are ideal for a wide range of industrial digital narrow printing applications, as they deliver top-quality results and can be used on a range of substrates, including paper, film, plastic and metal.
The GAMMA series delivers outstanding visual print quality of up to 1060 dpi. The standard model – the GAMMA 70S/140S – is ideal for wet-on-wet requirements in the pattern application process. The premium model – the GAMMA 70P/140P – is perfect for both pinning and wet-on-wet for sharp texts, barcodes, pictures and fine details and logotypes.
GAMMA systems combine Xaar 1001 grayscale printheads with Atlantic Zeiser controller and data preparation software. The result is a powerful solution that includes a UV printer, UV inks and UV drying capability.

GAMMA details
The high-speed, single-pass full-color UV GAMMA Series produces stunning quality at a high resolution of 360 dpi, which visually appears to be as high as 1060 dpi. With a print width of 70.5mm (2.8 in), the GAMMA 70 can be integrated in-line with sheetfed, web or single-product systems.
The variable drop capability of the industrial-strength Xaar 1001 printhead consistently produces smooth tone graphics, fine detail, sharp text and barcodes to generate high-impact results quickly, cost effectively and reliably. The GAMMA 70 Series is also highly flexible as an industrial-level, full-color marking system. A choice of UV curing systems is available to suit specific applications, including Atlantic Zeiser’s eco-friendly SMARTCURE LED UV curing system for temperature-sensitive products. LED UV curing is particularly suited to thin materials that can be damaged by heat used in traditional label-based UV curing.
The GAMMA 70 Series can operate in a single-pass printing process at a top speed of 24m/minute.
The systems compact size makes them ideal for space-constrained facilities. The GAMMA 70 Series can be installed in a complete web set-up as a standalone system; leveraged as part of an integration package for OEM integration on a wide range of label machinery; or integrated by end users into existing analog systems.
