Technotrans adds refrigeration specialist to its service team
Tuesday 16. November 2010 - A qualified refrigerant engineer has been recruited by technotrans to service south west England. Liam Furneaux will be based in Bristol, travelling to sites from London westwards and Birmingham southwards to carry out repairs on all press peripherals supplied by the company.
Peter Benton, managing director of technotrans, says: “With the new F-gas regulations we need more staff that are qualified to safely and effectively service temperature-controlled equipment. Liam is young and enthusiastic, just the type of new recruit we want in this sector. Technotrans continues to invest in customer support. Despite the tough market conditions, it is vital that we meet our customers needs. Training and developing our own engineers assures the highest levels of services and increases the levels of first time fix saving our customers time and money.”
Liam Furneaux joins from Bartlett Refrigeration where he did his two year apprenticeship, staying to gain a further two years experience handling major refrigeration and air conditioning products.
He chose to move, recognising the size and development prospects offered by technotrans and embracing the opportunity to add mechanical and electrical engineering skills to his existing qualifications. He is currently undergoing an induction period which has begun with two weeks training in Germany, followed by extensive shadowing of an experienced technotrans field engineer in the UK.
“Its a trusted professional company and I think there are great opportunities for me,” he says. “The refrigerant side is easy for me but Im learning new skills all the time, and have already gained much better understanding of Health & Safety issues affecting me and the printers I service.”
