Screen printer Vaneylen sees possibilities for the VersaUV LEC-300
Friday 10. December 2010 - Screen printer Vaneylen was one of the first in Belgium to buy a Roland VersaUV. The possibility to print a glossy layer and relief captured the imagination of general managers Steven Lehaen and Suzie Vaneylen. For them, the LEC-300 is the ideal machine to develop interesting new applications and to attract new customers.
Screen printer Vaneylen was founded in 1989 in a garage in Lommel. In the early years, the focus was on screen-printing of T-shirts and stickers, but over the years, the range was expanded drastically. Banners, flags, work clothing, labels and business gifts are just some of the many products in Vaneylen’s portfolio. In addition to screen-printing, digital printing has also taken in an important place, for which Roland DG became the leading partner. Steven Lehaen, general manager of Vaneylen, explains: “We have been working with Roland machines for years. We have a plotter, a sublimation printer and an integrated printer/cutter by Roland, which we are very pleased with. They are easy to use, compact and well priced. A few months ago, we invested in a LEC-300. Once we saw the possibilities of the machine, we were sold instantly. The UV printer is ideal for quick orders: the ink dries instantly, so you don’t have to wait to cut or press the prints. In addition, printing with gloss and relief is a big advantage in our business. For example, we have already used the printer to print 6600 house numbers with a varnish coating for a city nearby .”
At Vaneylen, they are still busy testing the various functions and applications of the LEC-300. They are constantly looking into new opportunities and new customer segments. Lehaen: “I am completely sold by the machine. The new, quality applications are a tremendous trump card. As a result we are convinced that we will reach a lot of new customers with this.”
