Kodak Partners with Komori Technology for Open House Event

Tuesday 02. November 2010 - Kodak customers can discover how to derive more value from their set-ups and increase productivity by attending the Komori Technology 2010 Open House. The theme for the event is ‘Offset on demand - new solutions for greater productivity’.

Continuous workflow demonstrations will be staged at the event, showing delegates how to improve every step of their production processes, from pre-press to post-press. The event is being held at Komori’s European headquarters in Utrecht, and takes place 9 – 11 November 2010.

The live demonstrations will run four times a day. A full production line will be in operation, allowing attendees to witness every stage of production and follow a booklet from prepress through to the finished product.

For the demonstrations, Komori will use the latest version of its UV ink presses with Kodak’s latest plate innovation, the KODAK TRILLIAN SP Thermal Plate. KODAK Unified Workflow Solutions will also be on show, including KODAK PRINERGY Workflow System and KODAK INSITE Workflow System.

Presentations of the Kodak elements of the event will be delivered by Dave Sips, Business Manager Unified Workflow, Kodak France Benelux Cluster, and Bernard Daenens, Business Director Prepress and Unified Workflow Solutions, Kodak France Benelux Cluster. There will a Kodak booth so attendees can get full details on the company’s products and expert advice on how they can use them to improve the effectiveness of their print infrastructure.

Dutch Kodak customer, Drukkerij Weevers, will be on hand to describe the impact of the KODAK TRILLIAN SP Thermal Plate on his company.

The Komori Solutions on show include: the new five-colour B2 ENTHRONE 29, the flagship LITHRONE SX640, and the LITHRONE S840P Perfector which features H-UV quick drying technology. The LITHRONE S840P will be used for the fast workflow demonstrations.
