Celanese Appoints Stubblefield General Manager of Ticona

Friday 29. October 2010 - Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), a leading global technology and specialty materials company, today announced the appointment of Michael Stubblefield to the position of General Manager, Ticona, the engineering polymers business of Celanese.

Michael was most recently chief marketing officer for Celanese. In this role he has been co-leading the Celanese Office of Strategic Growth (OSG) and has been driving many of the company’s efforts to grow the business and enhance company-wide innovation.
Prior to his leadership with the OSG, Stubblefield was the General Manager, EVA Performance Polymers. Previously, he lived and worked in China while serving as Celanese’s Global Director of Acetyl Intermediates Supply Chain. In addition, Stubblefield has held roles of increasing responsibility in Procurement, Product Management, Marketing and Business Planning & Analysis, in addition to an engineering role at the company’s Bishop, Texas plant, and has served on many critical strategic growth projects for the company.
