In a continuing effort to help its customers grow their digital printing businesses, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today announced the RevGen Program, a new mentoring service expanding the scope of its successful Essential Business Builder Program (EBB). Responding to customer demand for additional revenue-generation tools, the RevGen Program provides Canon imagePRESS customers with several options of mentoring engagement, enabling print service providers to adapt to current market dynamics, embrace new technology and grow revenue.

The 12-week RevGen mentoring program is offered in three levels of engagement based on customer-specific needs to target revenue generation, as well as identify organizational readiness for business growth, develop market positioning, create customer campaigns and increase the overall value of their services to customers. The three RevGen offerings include:
Targeted Customer Expansion – strategic mentoring service designed to drive immediate revenue by identifying key existing customers and closing new business for high-value services.
Tactical Self Promotion – an in-depth mentoring engagement focusing on the development of an event-driven marketing strategy targeting key customers via a variable data printing (VDP) campaign.
Accelerated Sales Growth – a comprehensive business transformation program incorporating an infrastructure review, a sales training workshop, pricing strategy development, an event-driven VDP campaign and closing business strategies.

Launched in 2008, and available to all Canon imagePRESS production customers1, Canon’s EBB program includes a robust suite of business development tools and mentoring resources designed to help graphic communication executives grow their businesses. Industry Best Practices Tool – illustrates real-world scenarios to help overcome gaps and capitalize on strengths.
Vertically Focused Sales & Marketing Tools – includes Marketing 4 Digital reports from PIA/GATF’s Digital Printing Council covering 40 key vertical markets, as well as print samples, sales guides, and customized PowerPoint presentations.

In addition to the new RevGen program, Canon will continue to offer the existing two-day and three-day on-site mentoring services, through which imagePRESS customers work through the business assessment process and marketing plan development with the guidance of a seasoned, digital printing business expert.
