WoodWing and New Technology Partners Streamline Multichannel Publishing

Wednesday 29. September 2010 - At IFRA Expo, VidiGo and XDAM show powerful solutions for efficient video and image production workflows in multichannel publishing environments.

WoodWing Software, a supplier of cost-effective and highly scalable solutions for cross-media and tablet publishing, today announced technology partnerships with the Dutch company VidiGo and the U.S.-based developer XDAM. The partners will integrate their products with WoodWing´s cross-media publishing system Enterprise and its content management module Content Station. Both companies exhibit their solutions at WoodWing´s booth at the IFRA Expo taking place from October 4-6, 2010, in Hamburg, Germany.

Broadcast-quality audio and video content made easy
VidiGo develops and markets innovative solutions for creating and managing broadcast-quality audio and video content. VidiGo’s products enable broadcasters, production companies, publishers and news agencies to automate audio and video production workflows. The company provides all needed components – from ingest and asset management to live production and play-out. VidiGo’s solutions are designed so that everyone can plan, design and produce audiovisual content easily and quickly in a cost-effective way.

Editors and photographers connect live worldwide
XDAM is a multimedia submission portal that provides rapid uploading, news/live-event editing, approvals and delivery. LiveShoot, one of XDAM’s core features, creates and manages a LiveConnection between the editor and the photographer or submitter. Images and videos are viewed seconds after they are shot anywhere in the world. Users can edit in real-time and push final content to WoodWing Content Station with one click, enabling live-publishing faster than ever before.

Erik Schut, President of WoodWing, welcomes the new technology partners. “A core value of our development strategy is the flexibility to integrate with other systems, enabling our customers to define a best-of-breed solution that is the most cost-effective for their business,” Schut said. “Especially in the era of tablet publishing, quick production of high-quality video and image content becomes important for any publisher. With the integration of the VidiGo and XDAM solutions with our multi-channel publishing platform Enterprise, we enable our customers to easily realize efficient video and image-production workflows.”
