Goss International extends the advantages of web offset at Graph Expo

Friday 03. September 2010 - Goss International will highlight differentiating web offset technology as well as unique new options for perfecting, packaging, print finishing and aftermarket Goss Lifetime Support services at Graph Expo 2010.

“We’re enthusiastic about a single U.S. show that will emphasize our strength and commitment as a supplier and our ability to support the success of customers in the commercial printing, newspaper and packaging sectors,” according to Goss International president and CEO Jochen Meissner. “We look forward to discussing new products and recent projects that demonstrate our responsiveness to market requirements and our industry leading accomplishments in automation, waste reduction, productivity and versatility.”

Expanded options
Goss International, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Electric, anticipates that a wider range of printers and publishers will visit its Graph Expo booth this year as a result of integration within the Shanghai Electric group of companies, an ongoing cooperation with Ferag and the introduction of its new M-600 Folia, Sunday Vpak and Universal press models.

Goss International now represents Akiyama products in North America, and the Akiyama MEGA JPrint sheetfed press and M-600 Folia web-to-sheet press present unique alternatives for perfecting applications. The first 30,000-sheets-per-hour Folia press is in operation in Germany.

Goss Purlux saddlestitchers have been added to the lineup of integrated Goss and Ferag print finishing solutions and will be featured at Graph Expo as new, mid-range saddlestitching options for sheetfed and web printers.

The new variable repeat Goss Sunday Vpak presses are designed to extend web offset print quality, productivity and efficiency advantages for flexible packaging, folding carton and label applications. Key technology components of the press will be displayed at the show alongside an “augmented reality” presentation to highlight its unique operation and capabilities.

New Goss Universal press models are now available for newspaper and semi-commercial applications to address an emerging requirement for double-width productivity, simplified operation and a lower investment cost.

Goss Lifetime Support
The Goss Lifetime Support program extends the competitive lifespan of Goss press and finishing systems through a comprehensive and coordinated range of parts, service, enhancement and training initiatives. Creative additions to the program include Goss ServiceFSA flexible service agreements that allow customers to purchase blocks of hours at discounted rates. The hours can then be used for maintenance, service and training.

Goss International will also offer special parts promotions during Graph Expo to emphasize the capabilities and price competitiveness of its large-scale OEM parts operation in the United States.
