Four Pees will showcase its large format automation and quality optimization solutions supporting Barbieri’s spectrophotometers and Roland DG’s printers at Grafi+Sign 2010 in Kortrijk, Belgium.
Ghent, 30 August 2010 – Four Pees, the exclusive worldwide distributor of the PrintFactory solution for banner, sign and super wide format printing, will demonstrate the new PrintFactory v4 at Grafi+Sign 2010 from 12 to 14 September in Kortrijk, Belgium. As a complete production suite PrintFactory v4 deals with all aspects of large format printing; from file intake, and preparation to calibration and final output. Four Pees will show on stand 488 how PrintFactory increases the productivity and the quality of large format production and guarantees consistency on different printers.

PrintFactory & Roland: increased quality and productivity
In contrast with regular production RIPs, the PrintFactory production suite sends one fully prepared file, embedding all white, varnish (gloss or matte), spot colors, embossing and die-cut handling data, to the Roland printers. This vastly increases the productivity and accuracy of the printers and the quality of the printouts. On booth 488 you can see this live on the Roland VersaUV LEC-330, VersaArt RS 640 and VersaCAMM VS-640.

The VersaUV family prints CMYK, white and varnish layers. This combination can be used for creating special effects. The varnish layer, for instance, assures a luxurious finish for prints. It also allows users to print reliefs, such as imitation crocodile skin, embossing or braille.

VersaArt printers produce high-quality prints, thanks to Roland Intelligent Pass Control. This unique three-dimensional printing system controls the size and the positioning of drops of ink with such precision that exceptionally beautiful prints are achieved.

The VersaCAMM VS-640 is Roland DG’s largest and most versatile printer and cutter to date. The machine combines the industry’s latest print head technology with the renowned Roland print&cut system. A new Roland Metallic Color Library includes a range of metallic and pearlescent colors, including gold, silver and pearlecent colors. You can also equip the printer/cutter with an optional advanced take-up unit for unattended production.

PrintFactory & Barbieri: accurate color measurement on any medium
PrintFactory Spectro LFP is a spectrophotometer to automatically measure color on any medium: papers, vinyl, textiles, cardboards, plastic plates, gypsum plates, wood, glass, stone, ceramic plates and many more. Built on the famous Barbieri technology, the PrintFactory Spectro LFP easily deals with thick and heavy materials up to 20mm. It measures spectral and Lab values for reflective as well as transparent media. The measuring aperture is adjustable to 2 or 6mm. Thanks to this flexible aperture surfaces will be optically averaged in order to determine the right color impression.

Four Pees & De Buck: gathered strengths
Four Pees will be supported by the local sales and implementation partner De Buck. De Buck is specialized in media, printers and software for digital large format printing with a strong focus on color management and quality optimization solutions such as PrintFactory and Roland DG.
