MANROLAND APPOINTS NEW AREA SALES MANAGER FOR PRINTCOM DIVISION
Monday 23. August 2010 - manroland GB has appointed Andrew Newton as a new area sales manager for its expanding printcom division. Mr Newton, who took up the post in the summer, brings with him 20 years experience in the graphic arts industry - including nearly 15 years with Litho Supplies. I
n his role as Area Sales Manager, Newton will be responsible for growing awareness and sales of manrolands extensive range of printcom pressroom products and components in the Midlands, Yorkshire, North Wales and parts of East Anglia.
Says Andrew Newton, Area Sales Manager, printcom Division, manroland: “The big challenge is to ensure all our customers understand the considerable benefits of purchasing the certified pressroom products and components. When margins are tight there is a tendency to try and save money on the consumables side of the business, but it mustnt be at the expense of productivity or quality. All our products and components in the printcom division have been certified as system and process compliant to ensure printers can optimise the performance of their presses. There is huge potential for manroland in this area of the business and it is clear that it forms a key part of the companys long term strategy over the coming years.”
“In the few weeks since starting at manroland, I have been very impressed with what I have seen. There is very strong commitment to providing the very best in customer service and this is reflected in the amount of respect customers have for the company and its technology. Its a very exciting time to be joining manroland as it strives to grow both press sales and, critically, the broad range of products and services that support this and help to give printers a competitive edge.”
Says Mark Wilkins, National Sales Manager – printcom Sheetfed, manroland GB: “Andrew is the latest in a series of new appointments at manroland GB, all with the aim of further strengthening the team across all divisions. Working with our customers at the printcom level helps us more comprehensively understand the day-to-day demands placed on a print company and how the combination of these demands over time affects capital investment strategies.
In this way, printcom and its siblings in our PRINTVALUE division – printservices, printadvice and printnet – are all playing a leading role in driving our business forward by supporting customers and working with them over the long term to ensure they can capitalise fully on their press investment.”
