Tuesday 20. July 2010 - Conference to Provide Crucial Education on Integrating Digital, Print Production Workflows

IDEAlliance+IPA, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing standards and best practices across the digital media supply chain, will hold its G7 Summit 2010 in Chicago this fall in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010. GRAPH EXPO 2010, the year’s largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas, will take place October 3-6, 2010, in Chicago’s McCormick Place South. The G7 Summit will be co-located with GRAPH EXPO 2010 in McCormick Place.

IDEAlliance is open to brand owners, agencies, publishers, printers and materials suppliers. G7, a subgroup within IDEAlliance, is the industry-leading set of best practices for achieving gray balance and is the driving force behind achieving visual similarity across every print process, every time. Presented live from the GRAPH EXPO show floor October 3-6, the G7 Summit is a must-attend event for creative, design, premedia and print production professionals. It will focus on the entire workflow and cover all facets of print production, from content creation to final output. In-depth educational sessions, conducted by leading color and digital workflow experts, will explore the G7 calibration process and how it compliments today’s digital workflow. Participating manufacturers will offer hands-on Learning Labs to supplement each session.

“Our decision to bring the IDEAlliance G7 Summit to GRAPH EXPO was simple: It’s the right thing do in this economy. It offers people who want to come to both GRAPH EXPO and the G7 Summit an affordable way to maximize their investment and double their benefit,” said Joe Fazzi, VP Print Media at IDEAlliance+IPA. “Creatives, publishers and commercial printers all have the same need, to find ways to integrate their digital workflow for an efficient production process. It’s why they come to GRAPH EXPO-and why IDEAlliance will be here to provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for the information they need now.”

“Graphic communications professionals count on GRAPH EXPO to showcase new technologies, information and education across the full spectrum of the print production process,” said Ralph Nappi, President of the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC). “With industry technology evolving-and clients placing ever more demands on their graphic communications service providers-it’s become all the more crucial for print production professionals to understand just which technologies and processes they’ll need to ensure a quality product for their clients every time. With the G7 Summit being co-located with GRAPH EXPO, we’re able to offer the guidance attendees are seeking to be successful in the high-quality, quick-turnaround environment that is today’s printing industry.”

Recognized as the commercial printing, publishing, mailing and transactional exposition for the Americas, GRAPH EXPO 2010 themed, “The Next Generation of Print,” has been designed to offer a customized show-going experience to a diverse spectrum of attendees. The exhibition will offer the latest graphic communications technologies in live equipment demonstrations across the expansive show floor and education on the most in-demand products and profit-making opportunities.
