The Baltimore Sun adds three new sections

Friday 02. July 2010 - The Baltimore Sun, the flagship newspaper of the Baltimore Sun Media Group, this week added three new weekly sections. The first issue of At Home launched Saturday, June 19, Sunrise launched Monday, June 21 and Maryland Business began Tuesday, June 22.

“We’re thrilled to be able to increase the coverage we are providing,” noted Mary Corey, Senior Vice President and Director of Content for The Baltimore Sun. “These changes represent our continuing commitment to providing stories, features, news and information that our print, web and mobile audiences have great interest in following.”
“Consumers and advertisers had such a positive response when The Baltimore Sun added new sections earlier this year,” added Judy Berman, Senior Vice President, Marketing. “For the second time this year, it’s very gratifying to let everyone know that the region’s #1 newspaper is getting even better.” The Baltimore Sun added three sections to the paper in February: Health & Style on Thursdays, Live! on Fridays and Business & Jobs on Sundays.
The new At Home section, running every Saturday, includes features on local home design, decorating, shopping and accessorizing, as well as landscaping and outdoor trends. Lots of photos and do-it-yourself tips make it a down-to-earth resource for anyone who wants to create a distinctive and attractive home.
Sunrise, which publishes every Monday, is an innovative new section that combines work and pleasure in the best way. It includes a weekend recap for discussion around the water cooler, weekday lunch reviews and pets coverage, as well as DVD and CD reviews.
And every Tuesday, Maryland Business provides a must-read update on the week’s business news, with a focus on regional businesses and issues. In-depth coverage of the healthcare, legal, technology, automotive and biotech industries ensures there’s something for everyone.
The Baltimore Sun is the region’s leading newspaper, with more than one million readers each week in print and online.
