GRAPHIC ARTS SHOW COMPANY ANNOUNCES CYGNUS BUSINESS MEDIA WILL PRODUCE OFFICIAL GRAPH EXPO 2010 SHOW DAILY
Monday 28. June 2010 - Cygnus to Also Partner with GASC a Sneak Preview Ahead of GRAPH EXPO 2010
The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) has announced that Cygnus Business Media, publisher of Quick Printing, Printing News and Wide-Format Imaging, will produce the Official GRAPH EXPO Show Daily at this year’s GRAPH EXPO. Distributed free to attendees every day of the graphic communications exhibition, the Official Show Daily provides the latest roundup of news, product announcements and happenings at GRAPH EXPO. GRAPH EXPO 2010, the year’s largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas, will take place October 3-6, 2010, at Chicago’s McCormick Place South.
Under the agreement between GASC and Cygnus, Cygnus will distribute a print version of the Show Daily on all four days of GRAPH EXPO 2010. An electronic version of each day’s issue will also be available on the GRAPH EXPO website, www.graphexpo.com, and Cygnus’ printing-related websites, www.quickprinting.com, www.printingnews.com, www.wide-formatimaging.com and www.myprintresource.com. The electronic Show Daily will also be e-mailed to any subscribers of Cygnus’ printing-related publications who have opted into this service.
Each issue of the Show Daily will contain practical information about GRAPH EXPO, such as show-floor maps, exhibitor lists with booth numbers, registration and on-site services information, education programs and conference information, the show schedule and more. In addition, the Show Daily each day will provide editorial coverage of the conferences that are
co-located with GRAPH EXPO this year, including the annual conference of the International Newspaper Group, the KBA Web Offset Users Group Conference, MAN Roland Users Group, among others; highlight new features and special events that will be or have already taken place at the show, including newsworthy vendor press conferences and special presentations; and, perhaps most importantly to attendees, spotlight the latest equipment, materials, consumables, products and services on display at GRAPH EXPO.

In addition to producing the Show Daily during GRAPH EXPO, Cygnus will also partner with GASC to provide a pre-show preview, a 60-minute ‘sneak peek’ webcast about the GRAPH EXPO MUST SEE ‘EMS, highlighting the newest technologies to be found at the show. It will be moderated by Cygnus Graphics Media editorial director Bob Hall and presented by MUST SEE ‘EMS program administrator Bill Lamparter, president of the PrintCom Consulting Group. Recognized as the commercial printing, publishing, mailing and transactional exposition for the Americas, GRAPH EXPO 2010 will offer the latest graphic communications technologies, equipment running live on the show floor, and education on the most in-demand products and profit-making opportunities. Attendees will find seven special interest pavilions on the show floor, including the brand-new News Print, dedicated exclusively to the newspaper publishing industry; PackPrint, covering package printing; Future Print, featuring printed electronics and RFID; the Mailing & Fulfillment Center, the industry’s largest mailing event anywhere in the Americas; the second annual GREENspace, a showcase on sustainability and eco-friendly products and services; Prepress/Software-Design; and, Press/Finishing. As a lead-in to GRAPH EXPO 2010, graphic communications professionals are invited to attend the 15th edition of the annual EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference, which takes place the day before GRAPH EXPO 2010 on Saturday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in McCormick Place South. The popular technology trends update conference provides a unique blend of technology updates, print trends and forecasts, and economic and marketing information to guide graphic communications professionals in how best to use technology to gain a competitive advantage. This year’s theme, “The Challenge of Change in the New Era of Print,” emphasizes the technological shifts taking place in print and products that are fueling that shift.
