EPSON TO DEMONSTRATE DISPLAY CREATIVITY AT FESPA 2010
Monday 21. June 2010 - 22-26 June, Messe Munich, Hall B2 Stand 360
At FESPA, Epson will be showcasing the versatile capabilities of its Micro Piezo inkjet technology and UltraChrome ink family to produce creative display graphics for the signage, decorative art and interior design markets working alongside a variety of media and RIP software partners.
Joining Epson on its stand will be G3S, ColorGATE, COM2-C, Bamberger Kaliko, EFI, Caldera, Ergosoft and 3P. These specialist industry partners will demonstrate a range of creative applications for the display graphics market using Epson’s latest range of Stylus Pro inkjet printers: the new Epson Stylus Pro WT7900, the Stylus Pro 7700, Stylus Pro 9700, Stylus Pro 9900, as well as the Stylus Pro GS6000.
– Display graphics: Epson will demonstrate eco-friendly signage production for indoor and outdoor applications using the Stylus Pro GS6000 and the new BioMedia material. BioMedia is a range of biodegradable and recyclable materials developed by G3S that give the look and durability of a laminated sheet but can biodegrade in under five years.
– Interior design: In cooperation with Bamberger Kaliko GmbH, COM2-C and ColorGATE, Epson will show solutions for individual roller blind production with the Stylus Pro GS6000.
– Signage: Ergosoft and 3P will use the Stylus Pro 7700 and GS6000 to demonstrate production of specialist backlit textile banners, which offer enhanced visibility on a flexible, robust and cost effective substrate. Demonstrating chemical-free production using film for screen, pad and flexo printing, will be the Stylus Pro 9900 with the Filmgate 6 RIP from ColorGATE.
– POS Signage: EFI will demonstrate its signage RIP for use with the WT7900 and Stylus Pro 9700 on a range of Epson media, including MetallicProof Film, to create POS signage. Used on clear or metallic film, the Epson UltraChrome HDR White Ink provides an opaque base layer on the media, enabling high colour saturation and resolution when coloured ink is printed on top, as if printed on paper. When printing onto the MetallicProof Film without the white base layer metallic colours can be achieved such as gold and bronze, as well as blues, reds, greens etc, enabling more creative designs for POS materials.
– Production Workflow Solution: Caldera will be printing on Epson’s GS canvas substrate using the Stylus Pro GS6000 to show their Production Workflow Solution. This partnership offers spot colour matching and real time output simulation for a fully featured large format production workflow solution.
Claes Jeppsson, head of sales EMEA, ProGraphics at Epson Europe, says: “Companies looking to create materials that stand out will be able to pick up some great ideas and tips from our FESPA demonstration where, with our partners and market-leading inkjet printers, we will show how far the boundaries can be pushed when it comes to creativity within display, decorative art and interior design markets.”
