At the Fespa Hönle presents the new LED Powerline in variable lengths

Tuesday 22. June 2010 - High efficiency and high end products - this is what UV printing stands for. The core of this seminal technology are first-class UV dryers, such as presented by the UV specialist Hönle at this year´s Fespa, taking place in Munich from 22nd to 26th June. At their stand B1- 365 Hönle will show their high-performance UV dryers, especially developed for the printing industry. Furthermore peripheral equipment, like power supply, measurement devices and UV lamps will be presented at the show.

UV inkjet printing
At the very fore will be those UV units especially developed for the largesized inkjet printing, such as the very effective and low-maintenance UVAPRINT-dryers. Applying UVAPRINT-units guarantees first-class printing results – even at very high curing speed. Hönle offers customized UV technology of the highest demand for the inkjet printing, as for all kinds of printing applications. The systems are available in lengths individually adapted to the printing process and are equipped with electronic power supplies or shutter systems. Hönle UV dryers are characterized by their high UV intensity and their compact dimensions.
Further developments of approved UV-LED units
In addition to classic UV technology Hönle offers a wide range of UVLED products. A big success for the inkjet printing: the LED Powerline. This compact water-cooled high-performance unit is the optimal solution for pinning and curing. It is highly intensive and externally driven. Its small dimensions and its low weight allow an integration even into very narrow spaces.
What is new: From now on the LED Powerline is available in variable lengths. From its basic size of 76 x 10 mm on the irradiated area can thus be extend in 40-mm steps to any size demanded. Each Powerline is divided into segments of four which can be controlled independently from each other. Each segment is electrically driven by a compact and efficient integrated module for top hat rail mounting Efficiency increase with electronic power supply By using Hönle´s electronic power supplies (EPS) the curing process can be enhanced decidedly. The EPS-technology reduces the energy demand of the UV drying system or, what might be even more important, it accelerates the curing pace. The EPS has a power of up to 7,2 kW. Where required, the output can be controlled between 15 % and 100%. The EPS units are cascadable and thus the total output increases to 12 kW.
Process specific lamps
The heart of each UV drying system is the lamp. Hönle develops, manufactures and distributes high-performance UV discharge lamps. In addition to the common standard products – UV lamps from 50 mm to 3000 mm arc length – the UV specialist also manufactures customized lamps in special lenghts and spectra. Hönle lamps are available for internal and external products.
