Budget Travel magazine chooses Atex Advertising
Thursday 24. June 2010 - Arthur Frommers Budget Travel, the award-winning travel magazine with a monthly circulation of more than 670,000 readers, has selected Atex to deliver a hosted advertising management system. The Atex system provides Budget Travel with a full suite of tools for managing ad order entry, billing, production, reporting, and business analytics.
The hosted Atex system will also allow Budget Travel to move its internal IT operations to a Managed Services model. Atex will operate the entire system from an Atex data center, and will take responsibility for the systems servers, databases, maintenance, upgrades, and round-the-clock support. Budget Travels internal IT staff will maintain the Atex systems business functions from its New York offices.
“When we were considering different advertising systems it was important for us to find one that would both support our existing workflow and add more user tools,” said Monique Lewis, Budget Travel Manager of Business Systems. “Atex was the one system that offered to improve our functionality without adding unnecessary steps to the advertising process. That was important in terms of efficiency. Plus the hosted model was compellingwe maintain control of what is important to us (rates, user security, contracts, etc.) and Atex manages the day-to-day IT functions so we dont have to worry about them.”
Budget Travel also selected the Atex Advertising system because it offered a comprehensive business analysis application that delivers a 360-degree view of the magazines advertising performance.
