VGI Europe Announces Successful Product Launches at Ipex 2010
Thursday 03. June 2010 - Ink Key Presetting Solution; ROOM Proofing Option; Latest Navigator Workflow Server Update
VGI Europe, the sales branch of Xitron serving Europe, Africa, and Asia, announced the successful launch of two new products including an ink key presetting solution and ROOM proofing option along with an upgrade to the Navigator Workflow Server software during the recent IPEX exhibition in Birmingham, UK.
The product launches included:
Ø KeySetter ink key presetting solutions
Ø ROOM Proofing for Navigator workflow and third-party proofing solutions
Ø Navigator Workflow Server 4.5
KeySetter, a suite of press ink key presetting solution, expanded Xitrons product range from prepress into the pressroom. With three options ranging from a simple printed graph to fully integrated ink key presetting with consoles for popular Heidelberg, KBA, Komori and ManRoland presses, KeySetter reduces make-ready cost and waste. Users have reported make-ready reductions of 20-30% with a payback of less than one year.
“VGI Europe was pleased to be the first to demonstrate these exciting new offerings during IPEX,” stated Sue Wood, Dealer Sales Manager for VGI Europe. “Users were enthusiastic about how the products will positively impact performance in both prepress and the pressroom with increases in productivity and reduced costs.”
ROOM proofing provides an alternative for Navigator workflow users as well as third-party proofing systems and extends Xitrons range of proofing solutions which include support for proofing devices from Canon, Epson and others.
Xitrons Navigator Workflow Server software helps increase productivity, manage your workflow, and reduce prepress costs. An intuitive interface allows multiple operators to manage their work from a Windows or Macintosh workstation, while directing output production through one or more Harlequin RIPs.
Xitron products are available through a network of OEMs, distributors, dealers, and system integrators worldwide. Xitron RIPs and workflow solutions drive more than 250 different output devices ranging from black and white and colour proofers to film imagesetters and the latest in CTP and direct-to-press systems.
