Monotype Imaging Named to Globe 100

Monday 24. May 2010 - Boston Globe Annual Magazine Ranks Top Massachusetts-Based Public Companies

Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TYPE), a leading global provider of text imaging solutions, has been named to the “Globe 100” list of top performing public companies in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe.

Based on a composite score derived from financial data for the four quarters ending Dec. 31, 2009, Monotype Imaging was ranked among the top performing Massachusetts-based publicly traded companies. This is the second time that Monotype Imaging has been included in the Globe 100, and it’s also the second time the company has qualified for the distinction.

To qualify for the Globe 100, a company must have been public for the entire 2009 calendar year and have reported a positive net income for both 2008 and 2009.

This year, 82 Massachusetts companies were named to the Globe 100 making the list the most exclusive to date, while serving as a reminder of the challenging economic climate.
