IPEX 2010: Added Value Dimensions

Tuesday 18. May 2010 - manroland groundbreaking with Value Added Printing in Birmingham

At IPEX from 18 until 25 May 2010, manroland can be found in Hall 17 presenting value-adding solutions for all business models centered on automation, product variability, sustainable production efficiency, networking, services, consumable materials and consultancy.

The structures of the printing industry are changing rapidly. It must reposition itself within a multimedia market and respond to a more fragmented market with improved business and production processes. This development demands and indeed encourages a new pioneering spirit, at manroland and in the industry at large. After all, what do print entrepreneurs want? The answer is simple: Success. To reduce costs. To earn money. To generate additional business. To attract and retain customers. To discover new target groups.

manroland provides printing companies with the possibilities to improve their production efficiency (faster and cheaper) and above all to increase the value of their products (better and different). Printing is much more than merely applying ink to paper. These days, attractive print products require enhancement and innovative applications. manroland solutions set standards with creative printing processes such as applying cold foil, embossed coating, heatset-coldset or UV production.

In the services field, manroland offers its customers a wealth of instruments for increasing efficiency through production security. manroland experts from all PRINTVALUE areas weigh up user data, the actual situation, business models, and a printing company’s environment against market requirements and innovations in printing technology. The manroland Print Technology Center is available to customers for comprehensive demonstrations and special trainings.

These days attractive print products are always sustainable products as well. In print media production, the focus is more and more on ecological aspects and efforts in this direction are ongoing. Printing is a high-tech industry. Johannes Gutenberg would be thrilled if he could see what his idea has developed into up until today – and will develop even further in totally new dimensions. Visitors to the manroland stand covering more than 700 square meters will be able to experience this in a very impressive manner.

manroland will be exhibiting within PrintCity. Founded in 1998, the industry initiative PrintCity is an alliance that develops joint answers to changes in consumer and customer requirements as well as technological challenges. Some examples are the UV guide for sheetfed printing, the Ultra Wide Web Offset (UWWO) study, the Carbon Footprint initiative, and current projects covering all aspects of process standardization.
