Xerox Workflow Tools Fuel New Business Opportunities

Monday 17. May 2010 - Offers GMC Software Technology solution worldwide; launches FreeFlow Print Server version 8

Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) has expanded the workflow options available on its high-end digital color presses – opening revenue opportunities and improving productivity for print service providers.

GMC Software Technology’s PrintNet software is now available for the Xerox iGen4 Presses and 490/980 Color Continuous Feed printer; it is an ideal solution for print providers handling large volume transactional jobs.

GMC’s PrintNet software reduces programming time up to 60 percent and improves job turnaround time up to 400 percent for applications such as bills, policies and invoices. Additionally, a fully integrated design solution allows for customization, approval, production and color management support.

Companies choosing PrintNet receive a comprehensive review of their current environment with detailed work process implementation plans from Xerox and GMC, a Xerox Business Innovation Partner.

“Our approach is unique,” said Scott Baker, vice president, Worldwide Business Development, GMC. “In addition to addressing print providers’ specific needs, we have a program to help them develop future opportunities for business growth.”

Xerox customer Telemail, one of the largest service bureaus in Madrid, uses PrintNet with its 490/980 Color Continuous Feed printer to produce transpromo statements that meet a growing demand from financial services customers.

“PrintNet is the best software for delivering variable data and transpromo applications,” said Agustín Minaya, managing director, Telemail. “We use Xerox’s 490/980 Color Continuous Feed printer for transpromo work, and GMC’s software complements this technology perfectly.”
