BFS Roller Factory outgrows premises
Monday 03. May 2010 - BFS Pressroom Solutions Ltd, the Berkshire based consumable supplier entered the UK roller market in 2007 when it purchased the manufacturing facility of Tyke Rollers in Haverhill, Suffolk.
In November 2008 BFS announced their appointment as the sole UK licencee and distributor of Westland Gummiwerke GmbH, the German roller manufacturer.
At this time production of Westland rollers in the UK switched to the BFS factory with the full support and back-up of Westland, Germany. Westland are one of the worlds leading roller producers and many press manufacturers fit their rollers as original equipment.
BFS now offer its customers both own branded and Westland rollers as well as a regular collection and recovery service.
Despite the current climate, the business is growing and the factory was no longer able to accommodate the volume of rollers being manufactured and recovered. As a result, BFS have now moved their manufacturing to new premises just a stones throw away but almost double in size. The number of staff have also increased; all employed from the local area.
Robin Hope, the Managing Director of BFS said “I feel proud to be able to say that we are investing in British manufacturing.”
This would appear to be a particularly exciting period of expansion for BFS, who hope to continue to grow roller sales in the UK.
