Fraser Papers Announces Delay in Filing of Annual Financial Statements
Monday 03. May 2010 - Fraser Papers Inc. ("Fraser Papers" or the "Company") announced today that the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2009, including the related management discussion and analysis, and CEO and CFO certifications (collectively, the "Required Documents") will not be filed by April 30, 2010.
Fraser Papers remains under creditor protection pursuant to the provisions of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (“CCAA”), with its stay of proceedings having been extended by the court to July 9, 2010.
The Company is working diligently to finalize the accounting for certain restructuring transactions and anticipates that it will be in a position to file the Required Documents no later than May 17, 2010.
Until the Required Documents are filed, the Company intends to provide information in accordance with National Policy 12-203 Cease Trade Orders for Continuous Disclosure Defaults.
