Xplor International Launches Scholarship Program

Tuesday 30. March 2010 - New Member Benefit Recognizes and Supports the Next Generation of Professionals for the Electronic Document and Customer Communications Management Industry

Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced that at the 2010 Xplor Global Conference and Vendor Forum in Tampa Bay, Florida, March 17th, a new member scholarship program. The Xplor Scholarship Program was initiated in 2010 to recognize and support the next generation of professionals for the electronic document industry and the customer communications management industry. The industry encompasses the wide range of businesses and professionals involved in the creation, management, production, distribution and storage of print and electronic documents.

The Xplor scholarship program is supported through the association’s Elite Sponsorship Program that includes DocuLynx, Elixir Technologies, GMC Software Technology, the Graphic Arts Show Company, Kodak, Hewlett-Packard Company, InfoPrint Solutions Company, Océ North America, Pitney Bowes, Solimar and Xplor Canada.

To be eligible for an Xplor scholarship, students must have the following:

• Be an active member of Xplor International and/or a member of the immediate family of an Xplor member
• Have an interest in a career within the industry of customer communications management or Document Management and Communication
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Full-time student attending an accredited college or university as of the Fall 2010 semester
• International students may apply

Scholarships are based on a combination of the following: Scholastic achievement, application essay, participation in school activities, community service, honors and organizational affiliations as well as education objectives. Depending on specific sponsor criteria, other elements may be considered, such as geographic location, college preference, organization and presentation.
