Kodak Demonstrates Document Capture Technology at FOSE 2010 to Help Government Organizations Improve Information Efficiency
Wednesday 24. March 2010 - Theme of "Its Time for you AND Kodak" promotes customer-focused partnerships
For many government agencies and offices, information management technology sits at the top of their strategic priorities. During FOSE 2010, Kodak will provide attendees with the latest insights and tools for creating a complete capture platform to improve how users can make, manage and move information. Kodak representatives will be available to meet with customers and partners, and provide product demonstrations at booth #2409 from March 23-25.
“As government looks for ways to cut costs and improve constituent services, changing the way people use information becomes a key imperative,” said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Kodaks Business Solutions and Services Group. “From the nationwide push for electronic health records to individual states operating budgets, paper-related costs continue to appear as a major disadvantage to efficiency.”
A recent survey conducted by the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), ranks document management technologies third in a list of priority applications and tools. CIOs view improvements to document processes as a way to help reduce costs, consolidate services and strengthen connectivity in 2010. These technologies can help to automate the costly process of managing, storing, archiving and preserving information from documents, records and e-mails.
Kodaks showcase of hardware, software and solutions will help customers and partners learn how to achieve greater control over their information processes. Each product offers features to support a capture platform strategy built upon simplicity, scalability and standardization. Demonstrations will include the new KODAK i4600 Scanner, the KODAK i1320 Plus Scanner, the KODAK Scan Station 500, a networked scanning peripheral, the KODAK NGENUITY Scanners, the KODAK TR??PER 3210 Scanner and the KODAK i1860 Scanner, with support from KODAK Capture Pro Software, v2.5.
“When it comes to improving document processes, organizations need capture capabilities that go beyond merely digitizing and storing files,” said Russell Hunt, Regional Business Manager, United States and Canada, Document Imaging, Kodaks Business Solutions and Services Group, recently recognized as a 2010 CRN Channel Chief. “At Kodak were working with customers and partners to establish an entire platform of solutions that can connect individual tasks into an automated business process to help them save time and money.”
KODAK Scanners and Software feature tools to improve ease-of-use and increase performance, such as Kodaks Smart Touch functionality and Kodaks Perfect Page Image Processing Technology, designed to provide one touch scan-to-destination and automatic image enhancement for greater accuracy and efficiency. The new KODAK i4600 Scanner uses an entire digital architecture with optimal connectivity for third-party software applications, such as MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT Server. KODAK Capture Pro Software adds more support for indexing data from distributed sources, including those without a scanner.
Attendees will also learn about the added value of KODAK Service and Support. Kodaks award-winning service organization provides expertise and capabilities to help organizations lower costs and maintain their investments.
