Atlantic Zeiser brings DELTA 105 to IPEX following successful introduction in 2009

Friday 19. March 2010 - Innovative grayscale printer family arrives at IPEX with strong market footprint

Atlantic Zeiser’s innovative DELTA 105 grayscale printer family will be featured at IPEX, scheduled for 18-25 May 2010 in Birmingham, UK. The DELTA 105 is the ideal replacement for older binary technology found in Atlantic Zeiser’s ALPHA series printers, delivering faster startup, higher quality and speed, and utilizing UV and water-based inks. New will be the DELTA 210 at the show.
Atlantic Zeiser Group, a leading innovator and technology supplier for digital narrow format printing processes, today announced it will be demonstrating its highly successful and innovative DELTA 105 grayscale printer family at IPEX, in Hall 6, Stand C557.  DELTA 105, introduced to the market during 2009 in North American and European trade shows, offers a series of powerful printer modules for commercial and security printing as well as the labeling and packaging industries. DELTA 105 printers are available in four models to meet a wide range of customer needs using UV or water-based inks. At IPEX Atlantic Zeiser will present the DELTA 210 as a new addition to the DELTA printer family.

“Following the introduction of this product family at Print 09 in North America and Label Expo in Europe,” said Ralph Hipp, Vice President of Digital Systems, “we have been extremely pleased with the market reception and the strong market footprint we have already achieved.  We are excited to bring this innovative solution to IPEX, an extremely important venue for our industry, where we expect to be able to share our excitement with attendees for whom the DELTA 105 can be a serious business accelerator. This new generation of grayscale printers replaces our highly popular ALPHA series within the Atlantic Zeiser product line.  Its water-based inks offer an environmentally friendly alternative to solvent-based inkjet printers, a characteristic that is becoming increasingly important to both consumers and producers of print.”

Higher Resolution, Improved Print Quality

DELTA 105 modules are available in water-based and UV models using high quality Atlantic Zeiser inks with a new generation of remote-controlled active ink supply. All DELTA 105 models feature a print width of 105 mm (4.13 inches) and 5-level grayscale.  Pneumatic print head positioning places print heads in either print or park/clean positions. Multiple print head installations add further flexibility to DELTA 105 configurations.

Four Models Available

The DELTA 105 family is available in water-based and UV models:
DELTA 105 with UV ink features 600×600 dpi quality with print speeds up to 60 m/min (200 fpm) or print speeds of up to 120 m/min (400 fpm) at 300×600 dpi
DELTA 105i with UV ink delivers fasters speeds, at up to 120 m/min (400 fpm) at 600×600 dpi and up to 240 m/min (800 fpm) at 300×600 dpi
DELTA 105 with Water-based ink offers a high-quality water-based alternative that prints at 600×600 dpi at speeds of up to 75 m/min (250 fpm) or up to 150 m/min (500 fpm) at a resolution of 300×600 dpi
DELTA 105i with Water-based ink delivers even faster water-based printing with a speed of up to 150 m/min (500 fpm) at 600×600 dpi and up to 300 m/min (1,000 fpm) at 300×600 dpi

The DELTA 105 water-based family enables high quality printing on absorbent open substrates for commercial and security printing applications. UV ink models are ideal for printing on more difficult substrates such as lacquered, laminated and glossy materials often used in the packaging, food manufacturing and consumer goods markets. These highly functional UV systems meet the need for high-speed, high-quality grayscale printing for labeling, card personalization and other industrial/product printing applications.

Benchmark speed places DELTA 105 as a leading member of the Atlantic Zeiser product family

The DELTA 105 series occupies a premium position in the Atlantic Zeiser product family due to its benchmark speed, resolution and functionality. It is well positioned to replace existing continuous inkjet binary print technologies with the more feature-rich Piezo drop on demand technology at a comparable price level. DELTA’s compact design facilitates easy integration into printing systems.  All DELTA versions use the same head adjustment for a high level functionality across a variety of custom building blocks for a flexible, scalable manufacturing process. As an integrated solution from a single supplier that encompasses print heads, inks and a new generation of LED curing units and IR drying devices for high speed applications, the DELTA 105 series is the culmination of Atlantic Zeiser’s long history of and experience in delivering highly functional inkjet printing solutions.

“The DELTA 105 family meets and surpasses emerging market requirements for a wide range of applications in the packaging, labeling, product printing and commercial printing markets, delivering increased speed and a superior price/performance ratio without degradation in quality,” added Hipp. “In addition, as concern for the environment continues to grow, customers are seeking more sustainable alternatives to solvent-based printing and the DELTA 105 family is a clear answer to that need. We are looking forward to demonstrating this breakthrough product to visitors at our stand at IPEX.”
