Tuesday 16. March 2010 - Seminar helps professionals in any industry to apply latest technology in color measurement to improve quality and reduce costs

X-Rite, Incorporated will offer an intensive one-day seminar this spring in major U.S. cities that instructs quality control and assurance professionals, lab technicians, parts suppliers and manufacturing specifiers on how to evaluate and approve colors in their products.

The color experts at X-Rite Color Services have rolled out a new series of its popular Fundamentals of Color and Appearance seminar that has been updated to account for the recent advances in the science and technology of color measurement. The seminars will be held between April and June in Chicago, Nashville, Cincinnati, Boston, Clemson, S.C., and Irvine, Calif. X-Rite is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of color measurement instrumentation and software.

Taught by X-Rite color experts, the seminar was created to provide practical information applicable to industries dealing with color in easy-to-understand terms. Seminar presenters first give attendees a solid foundation in science of color and appearance, then provide instruction on how to measure, view and understand color data.

The $595 course requires no prior color training and will address color control for a variety of industries, including retail and apparel brands, business and consumer electronics, automotive, packaging and their related industries in plastics, coatings and textile manufacturing.

In addition to the training, each attendee will receive a Munsell Interactive Learning Kit that reinforces the lessons with worksheets, samples, and exercises, as well as X-Rite’s exclusive Fundamentals of Color and Appearance book that acts as a reference on color sciences in easy-to-read language. The seminar runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes lunch.

Attendees should check with their sponsoring companies to determine if the X-Rite seminar can qualify as continuing education under certain accreditation programs.

All attendees are eligible for a drawing for a X-Rite MacBeth Judge II Lightbooth, a $1,500 retail value, and all participants will receive a $250 voucher towards a purchase of any X-Rite product, with a minimum order value of $2,500. For a limited time, customers of X-Rite are invited to save 10% by using the coupon code FOCA10 when registering.

The places and dates of the seminars are April 24, Chicago; May 6, Nashville; May 20, Cincinnati; June 1, Framingham, Mass.; June 8, Clemson, S.C. and June 22, Irvine, Calif.
