Cost-efficient card production right from the beginning
Thursday 18. February 2010 - Mühlbauer launches new semiautomatic sheet collating solution SSC 200
The Mühlbauer Group, a technology partner and turnkey solution provider for the card, passport and RFID industries, launches the SSC 200, its new semiautomatic sheet collating system for cost-efficient card production.
Todays price driven markets require innovative concepts, which contribute to a final low cost-per-card value. Mühlbauers new SSC 200 not only fulfills the requirements for cost efficiency, but also offers highest flexibility regarding to materials and formats, ready to meet any futurized task in the card business.
The SSC 200 machine concept is as simple as it is ingenious. It can easily be handled by one operator who collates the core sheets and aligns them manually at the adjustable stop pins. The machine is absolutely independent from material and thickness. To handle different sheet sizes, two collating tables are included into the standard configuration for sheets of up to 620 x 620 mm. Further collating tables in customized sizes of up to 720 x 720 mm can additionally be ordered.
Depending on requirements, overlays from top and/or bottom can be delivered from reel. The manually collated core sheets – with or without overlays – are securely fixed by welding on several positions before the complete set is cut and transferred to the output stacker.
The SSC 200 is controlled via one single operating panel. Different operating modes are pre-configured. A special mode extends the capabilities of the SSC 200 to a perfect solution for cutting reeled overlays into sheet format.
With the launch of the SSC 200, Mühlbauer continues its 2010 innovation campaign with a further machine of the “ecoline” brand, making card production highly efficient and ready for the future.
