CPI Group concentrates increasingly on core business
Thursday 04. February 2010 - Komori Corporation, Ferrostaal Australia and CPI Group today announced that the distribution, service and spare parts supply of Komori Offset Printing Presses in Australia and New Zealand will be taken over by Ferrostaal Australia. As part of this change, Ferrostaal Australia will also take over spare parts inventory, selected sales and service staff, and all outstanding warranty and service obligations from CPI.
In announcing this change Mr Aki Komori, General Manager Export Komori Corporation stated “Komori Corporation is very pleased to have been able to secure such an experienced and professional company as Ferrostaal Australia to continue the distribution of our presses. We are confident that with their long experience and professional approach they will continue the excellent work that CPI have done for us in the last 11 years.”
Ferrostaal Australia Managing Director Mr Markus Haefeli added “securing a premier press distributorship has been a major goal of ours since the change in ownership of our business earlier this year. Komori presses are recognised as the leading quality offset press in the market and we believe that with our complimentary offering of products we can significantly grow the existing Komori market share”
CPI Group Managing Director stated “having decided to concentrate more on our core distribution businesses, our major focus has been to ensure that Komori and its customer base in Australia and New Zealand continued to be serviced in the most professional manner. We were delighted therefore to be able to enter into arrangements with Ferrostaal who are a proven supplier to this market with the reach and experience necessary to build and service the Komori customer base. Ensuring this customer base was professionally serviced was our number one priority.”
The transfer, which is still subject to final documentation, is expected to take effect in February 2010.
