Fototext Digitalis offers products for estate agents with new HP Indigo press 5500

Fototext Digitalis AB, of Gothenburg, Sweden, a diverse digital services provider and digital print service provider (PSP) has installed an HP Indigo press 5500, its second HP Indigo press.
The need for additional capacity was behind the decision to invest in the new press. A new customer in the property business wanted to produce high-quality short-run brochures giving details of houses and apartments for sale.
“We now produce 30-40 brochures each day in quantities ranging from 10 to 100,” said Anders Wackfeldt, managing director, Fototext Digitalis. “Together with the other materials required by the estate agency, we needed the additional capacity.”
Established in 1960 as a prepress company and now employing 30 people, Fototext Digitalis has a tradition of keeping abreast of new technologies. In the mid-1990s, the company was part of the move to digital prepress and continued to add more capabilities. Today, along with operating an HP Indigo press 3050 and the new 5500, Fototext Digitalis offers offset and large format printing, digital photography and imaging, graphic design and copywriting, translations, IT-solutions and other services. Its customer base is varied, but includes companies operating in the commercial, industrial and medical sectors.
The HP Indigo press 5500 is a versatile device capable of printing two million full colour pages per month on coated and uncoated substrates ranging from 60g/m2 to 350g/m2. Its variable data capabilities can add value to marketing and advertising materials while the ability to produce cost-effective short runs means that applications like property leaflets are affordable for the customer and profitable for the PSP.
“Our experience with the quality and reliability of our HP Indigo press 3050 meant that adding the HP Indigo press 5500 was the obvious solution for our capacity requirements,” said Wackfeldt.
