WoodWing World Tour 2010 Makes First Stop in New York City

Friday 15. January 2010 - Kick out the jams with WoodWing: rock-solid, high-fidelity publishing with Enterprise. The WoodWing World Tour will also be stopping in Zürich, London, and Sydney.

WoodWing Software, a leading supplier of cross media publishing solutions , will be hitting the road this year, taking the company’s message to some of the world’s top publishing hubs as part of the WoodWing World Tour 2010. The Tour – a free series of intensive one-day informational sessions – kicks off on March 3 in New York City.

“The idea behind the WoodWing World Tour is to get in closer contact with our customers and potential clients around the globe,” said Hans Janssen, CEO of WoodWing Software. “We’ve hosted worldwide publishing conferences in the past and the response has been tremendous. Based on the success we’ve had with these events, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to attend, so we decided to organize these local events at various locations around the world.”

The focus of the day will be assessing the current state of the publishing industry and addressing the variety of challenges faced by publishers in every area – magazine, newspaper, book and corporate publishing. Participants will get advice and information on how to deal with these challenges, and will have a chance to interact with their peers throughout the day.

The day will feature informational seminars, demonstrations of WoodWing products and solutions, break-out sessions, and a keynote address by Mitch Klaif, CIO at Time Inc., a WoodWing customer. Klaif will discuss the challenges facing the publishing industry, and the technology and efforts necessary to overcome these challenges.

“It’s fitting that we kick off the World Tour in New York City, since it’s the hub of the North American publishing world,” Janssen said. “New York is home to some of the biggest publishing companies in the world – including our host, Time Inc.”

The New York session takes place at the Time-Life Building in Manhattan. The WoodWing World Tour will also be stopping in Zürich in June, London in September, and Sydney in December. “We have customers throughout the world, so that’s why we’re hitting every corner of the globe with our World Tour,” Janssen said.

There is no charge for any of the sessions, but registration is required.
