Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, announced the expanded service offerings of CANON iMAGE GATEWAY – the easiest way for owners of select Canon registered products to share memories online with friends and family. This exclusive service provides members with new and expanded ways to store, share and print images as well as video content.

CANON iMAGE GATEWAY has a wide range of features and personalized content designed to help members organize photos and maximize their digital imaging experience. After registering a qualifying camera or camcorder product through Canon Account, users are provided with up to 2GB of shared space for photo storage and up to 1GB for video podcasting. Photo albums can be created and printed with themes such as birthdays, holidays and other types of celebrations while fun backgrounds and layouts can be applied as well. Users are also able to share their photos through mobile phones with internet access. The videos created with the easy-to-use Video Podcast Service can be viewed using Apple iTunes and can be downloaded to Apple iPod, iPhone or iTouch devices.

“We are always looking to provide consumers with added values to use with their products,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A. “With CANON iMAGE GATEWAY, registered users of select qualifying products will be able to share their memorable moments in a fun and easy manner while also taking part in online tutorials to improve their overall photography and printing skills.”

Contributing to the exciting benefits of CANON iMAGE GATEWAY is the My Camera Section for camera or camcorder members. Within this section, users can download exclusive operation sounds and start-up images for a uniquely customized experience with their Canon camera. EOS Digital SLR photographers and users of Canon’s Digital Photo Professional software can apply advanced editing techniques using Picture Style pre-sets, either in-camera or on their computer. Users registering a qualifying printer can enjoy creating calendars, greeting cards, and other creative craft projects with the Print Projects and Useful Articles sections.

To gain access to these exclusive member benefits, simply register a qualifying Canon product via Canon Account using the CD-ROM provided in the product box.
